Stokosa Prosthetic Clinic is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC)

The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) has awarded ABC and the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) Category I recognition.

The Category I recognition validates the ABC/NCOPE pathway for its Certified Prosthetist program. With this recognition the ABC/NCOPE CP pathway is recognized throughout the world as having met the highest international educational standards in existence today. ABC is the only credentialing body in the United States to receive Category I recognition from ISPO.

CP designation: Certified Prosthetist by American Board for Certification in Prosthetics, Orthotics and Pedorthics (ABC).  An ABC certified prosthetist (CP) is a healthcare professional who is specifically educated and trained to manage comprehensive prosthetic patient care, and has passed an extensive national board examination. CP credentialing includes patient assessment, treatment plan formulation, implementation of the treatment plan, follow-up and practice management. ABC’s  Certified Prosthetist credentialing program is accredited by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) formerly National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

FAAOP designation: The highest honor that can be bestowed upon an Academy Active Member. This elite status is attained by those with a demonstrated commitment to mastering their profession through sustained educational pursuits and a proven track record of service to both their profession and the community at large.
